FWIW: I wouldn't have anyone associated with GC set up my guitar. Generally speaking, they're qualified to tune guitars and virtually nothing more. (Sometimes not even that.) They really don't have any techs on site.

Also for the record GUitar Center has rolled out a new repair section that actually has luthier trained techs.

The tech at the GC I work at is an MI and Roberto Venn graduate and is the #1 tech in the GC chain rated on customer feedback and the amount of service he writes.

Does this make me spoiled?

I think with anything you're going to have pros and cons; however, this is a new service they're trying to provide I say lets ride it out and see how it turns out.

They should hand out quality-control marks to brilliant techs. Don't you just love techs who you can trust 100% and ALWAYS do amazing work ? I know they should give mine a medal!
