Wow, surprised to see Carbon Blue Pearl go, I thought it was pretty popular. I really liked the color, and I hoped I would get a Silo Special in that color someday. Same with Desert Gold, I thought that was popular too, especially on the Bongo. Lava Pearl and Radiance Red are great, but I guess they weren't very popular. I would have liked to get a Rad Red Silo someday, but there's still Candy Red! Cabernet Pearl (imo) is like the new and improved Rolls Burgundy haha, so that one I don't care about as much, because I think it's cooler. Teal Pearl is really cool, but I barely ever see any balls in Teal Pearl, so I could see that going. It was a great color though. I never really liked Medallion Gold much, and I think True Gold is much cooler. Medallion Gold was also pretty rare among the balls here haha. I could definitely see myself getting a guitar in True Gold.

The best of luck to EBMM with the new colors and to any colors you may release in the future!

Interesting! I didnt think CBP was one of the lesser sold colours, i'll appreciate my CBP silo special now! Rolls Burgundy I never liked, Desert Gold I always thought was a big seller. I'll have to order a white Ice pickguard i think fast!!! Does that mean colours like Sapphire Black and Egyptian Smoke sell pretty well?

The new colours are great, so are the pickguards!!!

I'll be honest. I think the new 7 colors BLOW AWAY the soon to be discontinued colors. I'm not just saying that because they are newer. Teal Pearl and Lava Pearl are just plain ugly. I wouldn't think of buying any of those or the 5 others, but there are several of the new ones that perk my interest. The new shades just have way more pizazz.

Ice blue kills the 7 discontinued colors.

Rad Red discontinued??? Sigh... I wanted a Silo Spec in that... Or some form of bright red colour...

Can anyone tell me if the Rad Red is a metallic colour?

Nonsense! CBP is one of the coolest colors EBMM had to offer. Whatever...to each their own. Bottom line is those did not sell, and it is time for something new as BP and co. are always doing...keeping it fresh. I am just glad that I got my CBP Silo Sp. And like BP always says, it is quite hard to keep everyone happy and to offer million options. Even if I would never buy a guitar in some of the old and new colors, I love the fact that there is always something new to look forward to and love the thinking outside of that god damn box "others" are in :).

I think certain colours sell better on certain instruments, but not necessarily on the whole product line.

I kind of agree with you about that whole buying the new colors over the discontinued colors thing. I'd definitely buy a guitar in Sterling Silver or True Gold for example before I bought something in any of the other colors.

Yeah I thought Carbon Blue Pearl and Desert Gold were big sellers, but you bring up a good point. Now that I think about it, I really only saw a lot of Desert Gold on the Bongo, and Carbon Blue Pearl on the Luke and Silo Specials. And even then, I didn't see much of Carbon Blue Pearl. I also thought the Black and White Ice pickguards looked best with Desert Gold, so I guess it makes sense that they are also being discontinued haha.

I actually got one of those color charts, along with some other stuff about EBMM from New Jersey Guitar and Bass Center when I tried some of their EBMMs. I wonder where I put it...I think my dad had it last, and that was months ago. A new color chart would be cool, maybe a sheet to print out on the Music Man website or something.

I was surprised about three of the colors: Radiance Red, Desert Gold and Carbon Blue Pearl, as well with the White Ice pickguard (I though that one was a winner).

But with the new colors coming on stream this year, I guess a decision had to be made around some of the other colors.

I was considering ordering a Koa topped JP6 BFR, pending the sale of my Rad Red JP6 and "possibly" my Y2D with the thought that I could always find or order one of these later on.

To add to my dilemna further was that I had felt that my next standard JP order was going to be either Desert Gold or Graphite Pearl or Egyptian Smoke.

Now my question is do I keep my Rad Red and order a JP6 in Desert Gold and scrap the whole BFR thing, or do I continue to follow my original plan?

The other option would be to sell both my Y2D and my JP7 Dargie (as it doesn't see much time outside of its case as I just haven't melded with a 7-string) so then I can order the Koa topped BFR and possibly a JP6 in Desert Gold.

I suppose you could always get a DG JP6 from an online dealer that has one in stock, like from Bass Central or something.

I guess I will really appreicate my Dessert Gold White Ice Bongo 5 more now.
I think Warg Master started that trend and there were about 9,000,000 DG WI B5s made for guitar center. I think that color combo is just to right. Plus it matches my car really well.

CBP and abalone just looks to good to.

So these new colors, expically the BFR stains and the new pick guards are just crazy cool.

The shade shifting colors (not as extreme as Mystic Dream) are things I would like to see more of. But I still really love my Blue Dawns.

Oh no! I still have either a Luke or JP6 in desert gold on my wishlist!
But I won't be able to order until next year because this year's purchase has already been done. :(:(
