some of the DD's that have been shown here have had some nice birdseye, and a lot of Luke's have bee diseased with birdseye in the past too, but the wood itself is quite rare now isnt it?

That neck is just astonishing. Too bad the deal surrounding that transaction was just so shady.

Well after looking all the EBMM`s I own the AL has the most but it also has a maple fretbord,
the 20th has its fair share and the Luke has the least, so I think it is a crap shoot whatever is available when the guitar is made.

I personally like watching the birds "wink" at me while I play :)

As a strictly Silo man, I'm bothered by the lack of birdseye on the Silo necks! Someone outta show more love 2 the neck on that darn guitar! Or maybe I'll have to start drawing dots on my necks like kids did on their faces back in in the day to fake having the measles! :p

I believe there was a bunch of birdseye hoopla a while back since some people nearly demand it because they spend so much!
I seem to recall BP saying that the woods that have birdseye are usually separated and reserved for the guitar with a higher premium. But it's no guarantee since there is only so much to go around.
The 20th Silo is one of these lucky guitars, and I believe the Albert as well.
Today Dave's Dargie Al had some whereas my Silo has none.
Am I going to cry about it. Absolutely not. It doesn't really matter to me. :)
