Today Dave's Dargie Al had some whereas my Silo has none.
Am I going to cry about it. Absolutely not. It doesn't really matter to me. :)

Harrrrrrumph! If I were you, I'd cry about it! But since I'm not, I'll cry for ya!:( I wanna see more measles on my stick!:p

I seem to recall BP saying that the woods that have birdseye are usually separated and reserved for the guitar with a higher premium. But it's no guarantee since there is only so much to go around.
The 20th Silo is one of these lucky guitars, and I believe the Albert as well.

Neither my JP, nor my 20th Silo is particularly gifted with birdseye. Actually, I think the JP has more than my 20th, but it's really just a few birdseyes.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but what is the top? I haven't ever seen a MM with a very big price gap between others, besides the 20th silo and I imagine the BFR's. Thanks

Mine was made in September '99.....it's actually a Special. Of course , being odd I much prefer the plain neck on my Red Sparkle SS......but then I don't like flame tops, metallic green guitars and sunbursts ......very very odd!!

"great silos you have Andy!"

I thank you.
I tend not to get very attached to guitars and have sold on most of the ones I've ever owned and bought different ones,, but I travelled the world in a duo for 4 years with the purple SS so it probably has the most sentimental value of any of them.
