Like is Luke bored of always playing a Luke? If I were Him I would be jonesing for a AL once in awhile or maybe a Silo special just for a bit of variety. Same goes with AL, curious why you never see him with a silo sss, or morse with an AL for those clean tones, I have a few balls for variety, and even though I have my favorites when I pick up my axis after playing my silo I feel totally inspired, I couldnt imagine playing the same guitar for years on end....

Well...aside from the JP6 & 7 and the BFRs, JP does play some Silo Bass every now and then. Of course, there's his double-neck. But something tells me that's not what you're talking about.

At the open house in SLO there was a time where Luke, Steve Morse, John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore and BP all switched instruments. There might even be a picture of it somewhere around here.

When I first saw Deep Purple in concert about 10 years ago I wondered if Morse would play a Strat for an old song like Smoke on the Water. Nope.

BTW, that was one of the best concerts I ever saw! I missed Ritchie, but Morse was more than an adequate replacement. I am just glad I got to see them with Sir Jon Lord. (If Lord hasn't been knighted yet, he should be!)

well on vinniemoore.com some pics can be seen (thanks vinnie, sorry I didn´t ask  )
but the pics are not what you´re asking for

I remember Steve Morse saying that he does not like guitar switching, so he needs one guitar that can do everything: humbucker + single coil sounds. We all know the result. I personally think he never uses any other electrics, but on an older version of his webpage there was a picture from his equpiment with a steinberger like this MusicYo.com - The Worlds #1 Wholesaler of Brand Names
