I recently got an Epiphone Jack Casady Bass. The medium rounds that came on the bass are OK, but I wanna switch them out for some Ernie Balls. I use .45-.100 Cobalt Flats on my Sting Rays but I think I wanna try .45-.100 Cobalt Rounds on the Jack Casady. The distance between the spot on the 3 point bridge where the ball ends anchor and the string goes over the saddle is quite a bit shorter on the JCB than it is on an EBMM bass. I'm wondering if the Cobalt Rounds have the same silk wrap that the Cobalt Flats do? If they do, then the wrapped portion of the strings will extend past the saddles on the JCB. I'm looking for input on whether that'll be a problem or not.
