I feel like this might be a stupid question, but I have an Axis Tribute and the EVH D-Tuna didn't work on it, would it still be safe for me to unlock the nut, drop the low string, tune up, and re lock and play? Or would I need to get the guitar re setup? I have had the urge to do some drop tuned riffing on the axis but don't want to damage the neck. Thanks guys!

As TNT stated you will be just fine and if you know how to set the D-Tuna it will work fine. I would just keep an eye out for any relief in the neck, so you may need to give the truss rod a tweak.

Ok I might take it to my local tech and see if he can figure out the D-Tuna, I have seen on here some other people had troubles with it on the Axis tributes as well. Thanks guys!
