is there space for a y2d in a music room with a jp6 piezo and an ass? i know the answer is yes but between the two ebmms and another guitar i dont think i have time to appreciate them all. plus there is alot of money involved a know. i just get the feeling that it will be too much like the ass but now its your turn to convince me otherwise:D

I think you should go for the y2d! It's way different from the ASS and the JP6 but it's a good different. If you are a tone guy though, maybe a standard Morse because the extra pickup actually adds quite a bit. They both have a really tight, round sound that everybody could use and the neck pickup is really sweet!

If you are set on the y2d though, you may want to wait for the chambered one that is going to come out in the future. I hear that is supposed to amazing! Get a Morse, I am! :D

Is this a Rhetorical Question?

YES

The Y2D is pure, unadulterated awesomeness. My advice would be to tune it to something different than you normally do, so that you turn to it when you wanna play something new. I tune all my guitars differently, and they all keep my attention that way(and it probably makes me a more versatile player, too) But either way, it'll sound considerably different from your ASS.

YES - you do!

go for a hardtail version, this thing will sound different from your other guitars.
i´ve never been a hardtail-guy, but since i got my Y2D hardtail....i felt in love with it!
it´s an amazing guitar - everybody should have a Y2D.

a bit torture:

Can I propose you the 25th? Okay so you have the ASS, but I have both the 25th and Y2D and I am gravitating more towards the 25th these days. The pickups on the 25th have really more bites, as compared to the mid-rangey voice of the Morse pup set. Sorry for a lil offtrack here..

i really like the reflex as far as the tones go. its pretty amazing how something so simple can be so revolutionary, especially this late in the history of electric guitar. i didnt really bond with it in the short period i played at guitar center. then again i hate playing guitars at guitar stores for some reason. hopefully soon i will be posting wondering if i have room for a reflex in my music room

Yes you should try the 25th, 25th I mean and not the reflex, again. Go see if that #1 with RW neck is still available in GC. Killer axe, that you wont regret. ;)

Yes you do!

No musicroom should be without one.

Nice, fat warm cleans....then switch in the single coil on its own and its bright as a shiny new penny!

Big, warm crunch, high gain, lead tones.

For me, personally the most comfortable neck in the music man range, (I'm sure that statement will cause arguments, this is not an un-educated statement either as I'm a demo guy for Ernie Ball/Musicman in the UK, again please note "personally"), a colour that no other guitar gets close too in Purple Sunset, and who wouldn't want purple pick-ups on their guitar!

Also lots of people always ask about the placing of the single coil, which lets them get up-close to your guitar, they can then see how beautiful the grain on that body and neck is, mine is a flame top in purple sunset by the way.

Am I selling this enough?

I also use an original Morse, which too is an awesome guitar with a few more tones and an even bigger talking point with four pickups and one of them being slanted an all.

Buy one or both.

Good luck in your search.

The Devil.
