I see the face too!! SCARY!!That's SOOOO cool i really only bought because of the guitar but it has a "past" Pete were these played by morse or just signed??I'm very happy with it and now that it has been proven legit it's even cooler ,I knew the forum would help get to the bottom of this, now for a really weird question who was the ORIGINAL: owner?? could it be the face??Just wondering!Like the "christine"(steven king movie) of guitars it takes over your WHOLE life!?!?!

As far as the past goes this guitar is no Christine, don't worry! :D
The original owner was Brentrocks, he purchased the guitar on August 24. Steve Morse only played one of our Y2Ds at the clinic, and it was a hardtail. In fact he liked that particular hardtail so much he took it to play onstage with Deep Purple the next night. Steve signed the backplates for all the Y2Ds we had in stock (yours included), but there wasn't really an appropriate spot for him to sign on the standard model, so he left those alone.

The guitar he played is this one here:
Steve Morse y2d

That's also the y2d that was shown on the 11:00 news the night of the clinic, and was in the paper with a photo the next day.

Haha! I saw the "face" near the bridge and said to myself, "Huh... that looks just like one that we had this summer."

Nick, after reading your post, I checked and I saw the face, too! No, I haven't been hittin' the hooch. Great attention to detail!
