Not when America's finest men and women are exposed to a Bongo! This should be required training :D

The band and the audience had no idea how lucky they were to see and hear a one of a kind Bongo. Still, everyone liked the tone :)

The lady is the officer in charge of launching both conventional and nuke tipped cruise missiles. She has an array of 61 launchers just behind us.

The location is somewhere in the Pacific near Hawaii.

That is SO cool!

Somehow, it makes perfect sense that the Bongo should be right at home along side a nuclear-power guitarist.

Why not sponsor her with a JP7? I bet the sound coupled with the Bongo will be so fat that people will wonder if they accidentally fired the cannons...

Outdoor gigs (when the weather is nice) are always a blast (get it;)).

Oh yeah, two bands played on this day.

The other bass player was trying to get the grunty low mid heavy tone I had dialed in. She plugged into my Markbass thinking she could get it but of course she's SOL without the Bongo EQ and flatwound EBs.

And yup, I gotta convince our Strike Officer to get a new guitar (and amp). I bet an Axis or a Luke plugged into a righteous Fender tube amp would be at home with the tunes we play.

Any money spent for the moral of the troops is not a waste. It's an investment, and a good one at that. Keep up the good work, and thanks for your service!

Woohoo! Land at laaaast.

After 33 days in the Pacific, the fine warship USS Higgins pulls into beautiful Pearl Harbor.

Jack I know you miss this ;)

Excuse our disheveled appearance. We were trying to capture the spirit of the mid 20th century Navy. I'm one of the guys chomping on a cigar on the 2nd row.
