Feel like another companies guitar is too big? I decided to switch it up tonight and take my SG and LP to rehearsal tonight and they did sound okay i guess but they just felt so big and bulky. I have been so used to my AL HH and my SS for so long I guess that it was just kind of awkward for me. And I notice that I was just not on point as well with my playing. Maybe I just had a off night but it just did not seem right. I am now thinking about selling off some of my other guitar to pick up a LUKE and a AXIS SS just so I have choices.

I do often feel that way, but it goes both ways. For example, I like the larger size of the JPX body compared to the original JP model. Just feels better to me.

I play a lester every week and I don't miss it ever. The gibby LP Std just feels like a sack of bricks on my back. I'd play my Balls, but its monsoon season here and I dont want to risk carrying it back/forth to gigs. That being said, I'd say once I got comfortable with my 25th, everything else became uncomfortable. Going from the Lester to EBMM was easy cause the transition from Uncomfortable to Comfortable is always a bonus. But the converse isn't true.

EBMM's are wonderfully ergonomic. That is definitely a fact.

Back in 2005 (when I came out of hibernation) I decided to get aguitar to supplement my LP and Tele. I tried various guitars and the one that sticks in mind was a 335. To me it was "all neck"!!

I know exactly what you mean. A 6-aside headstock just looks silly to me. My old strat seems so ugly and unwieldy in comparison to my SS. It's not only about the visual appeal, it's the whole 'ergonomics' of the instrument - my Silo Special is so much more comfortable and easy to play and makes me want to play more often, which makes me a better musician.

I understand where you are coming from but I am so used to a Strat or Tele I do not have any issues with size. For me a neck has to be to my liking and my hand and an EB neck go together like a hand in glove.

I recently acquired a Lester Buckethead and that thing is so monstrous. It has a chambered, over size mahogany body. I had it next to my JP7 and it made that look so tiny. I am afraid to compare it to my ASS. But, I do like it. It feels different and i like to mix up my guitars to mix up my playing to give me different types of tones and feels. Also, I would never want to carve up my ASS or JP7 to put in an arcade kill switch.

I'm 5'8" and a little round ;) that is one of the reasons I love my Silo Sp. From the forearm cut to the belly cut, to the shorter headstock, it just fits me. I have a strat which I am fixing for a friend of mine and it just feels strange. It feels too square, too big comapred to my SS. I also have a PRS CU22 which I love for it's sound, but ever since I modified my SS with the JP humbuckers it doesn't get much playing time.
I remmember in an interview BP said something about "trimming the fat" which really made sense to me. And that is why no matter what I try I keep coming back home to EBMM:D

Trimming the fat is a good way to look at it! I had a PRS Custom 22 for a few years and it just never sat well with me. Always felt like I was playing a tug boat. I used it in the studio a few times cause it had some good tones and it looked amazing hanging on my wall but that was about it. I was raised on Gibson guitars so sound is always there for me from them. It is just funny. I was just having this conversation with my Dad, the man that got me into guitar and he says that EBMM guitars look small, at least the ones I have. So I guess this topic can go both ways.

absolutely +1. I love the small bodies and the ergonomics of EBMM guitars.
I also play others for the sound (Tele, Strat) but they don´t feel as good as the Balls and the feeling sometimes is more important - you will play better if your guitar suits you well

I came at it from the other way 'round. I just got an Axis, having bought it pretty much on reputation and not having played them much. (How's that for confidence in specs!) I am surprised (pleasantly) how big this guitar DOESN'T seem, though it isn't so much "small" as it is made to be efficient with the space it takes up. Other guitars with the same scale length feel long to me now.
