I'm sure it will be a great bash. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend. I'll have only been in Australia 2 months at that point, and my new job for a maximum of 6 weeks, most likely 4 weeks. Even though my new boss is a laid back Aussie, it would be a little impudent to ask for some time off so early in the job.
