I recently made the switch to Ernie Ball and was wondering if anyone could suggest a good set of strings to me. I play a Fender Telecaster through a Marshall 50 watt combo. I am looking for just a good classic rock tone, something like AC/DC, Aerosmith, or Boston. What would be the optimal gauges and types? I have a set of Not Even Slinkys on now, but I think they may be a little excessive :D.

Thanks!

I just switched to the coated EB 9s on my JP and they sound fantastic and they are lasting forever! I do play hard rock/metal, but they should be great for all genres!

I have always put power slinkys
on my tele but I also play in e flat so they don't have as much tension as if in standard tuning
