can't believe i didn't know about this site till now. i've got an ebmm-evh trans black that i bought myself back in the '90s at guitar center on the south side of chicago. i just can't remember exactly what year it was and i'd like to know. i have played the guitar alot over the years but it is in excellent condition. anyone got any idea what it may be worth? i don't want to get rid of it, but you never know if worse comes to worse. thanks,

Awesome dude!!!

Value depends greatly on the top (quilt or flame) and the overall condition.

lets see some pics!

hey i just read your info, you are a carpenter.. i was a union carpenter in chicago for 20 years. now i own my own electrical company.. i know, electricians were always kinda the primadonnas of the jobsite.. anyways, i wil definitely get some pics as soon as i get a little time to clean up that guitar and post 'em. i may have exaggerated a little when i said excellent condition, cause after seeing your evh's, mine is not that perfect. but it's sweet for sure. i still remember when i first picked it up in the store, it had a feeling of quality, but was surely like no other guitar i ever played. i knew i had to have it, especially being the eddie freak that i have been since he came on the scene in '78.. man has it been that long? :) more soon.

Reminds me of the kid who came to my store and asked for the longest guitar cord I have because he hates to tune down and in his understanding the longer the cable the deeper the tuning;) ...wait, hey good idea for selling cables to metal bands.:D

didn't mean to be like that, not my usual self, dads in the hospital, it was my 4 year old daughters bday party over the weekend(many kids), and all i do is work.. i did say thanks in advance and was as nice as i could be in my original posts. i don't prefer 220 or 440, i put a variac on the whole service coming into the house so all my amps have that evh plexi brown sound. it's a big knob under the meter outside...

ftr, i didn't expect an answer on sunday.
thanks for understanding,
tony
