Since they have been discontinued do people still like them. and because of there slightly cheaper price tag are they seen as real EBMM? and can any one tell me the D.O.B of my S.U.B 1 guitar X11742. is blue HH with black pickguard. My first EBMM definately not my last thank you.

yup they are real music man guitars! they're build with a ton of attention and sound fantastic... exactly what you'd expect from an MM. they ARE the real deal.

There's a lot of folks in these parts that have em and love em!!

as far as the DOB pot in it the serial number sticky at the top of the guitar forum and someone from MM will check and reply with the DOB

I owned one briefly. I really did enjoy it, but the body felt a little heavy. That, and I found a hardtail Axis. :p

I wouldn't mind getting one again one of these days. I'd actually like to make a SUB my first bass.

It's a fantastic "little" guitar with a great sound. I got mine because I wanted a guitar that I could beat up and not have to freak out if the children got to it; I really was not at all concerned about how it played or how it sounds. However, since I've had it, it's grown on me. It's a keeper. :D

I like the Sub. I'd take a Sub over most of what GC or other retailers have to offer from F3nd3r, Gib$on, or other makers.

Man, I liked a Sub bass so much, I nearly bought a used one while I was looking for a 30th SR.

I love my SUB 1 guitar. It's just plain and simple, but quality is amazing!

A week or 2 ago I bought a brand new F***** American Str*tocaster from someone on Ebay for a bargain. My plan was to make profit on it by re-selling it for the "Buy me a Silo" fund. ;) While waiting for the guitar to arrive the thought that i might keep the guitar instead of buying a Silhouette came to mind.

Finally after a 2 week wait the guitar arrived. I opened the case, and... Hmmm is this it? Is this the world famous real American strat?!

It was really a disappointment. By then i finally realized what a gem my SUB 1 guitar is. The attention EBMM puts into their guitars is just amazing. For it's price, the SUB 1 guitar really is the best deal anyone can get!

Luckely only 1 day after the strat arrived i sold it with a nice profit and now i'm collecting money for the SUB's big brother, the Silhouette! :)

I am part of the SUB CLUB. I don't play it as much as the Silo, but it makes a great backup.

Actually I found a guy a craigslist.com who wanted to swap the SUB1. I traded him my old Ibanez S470. It was an even swap - well, he did get the OHSC and I got a gig-bag. In spite of that, I think I made the right choice.

My Sub completely and totally rules, for some reason the guitar just inspires me. It plays and sounds incredible... you WILL NOT find a guitar at that price that's even close. Also, I think the poplar body is great, I think I understand why Steve Morse went with poplar... The thing is just a tone monster. The painted neck feels natural too. It's never leaving my posession, and there's not a guitar in the world I'd trade it for :D

One day, I think I'm going to grab one of these. It's just that BP & Co. keep putting out other stuff I want more.
