As Big Poppa and others have said... I will be getting in at least 15 of my 30 30th's within a matter of a few short weeks and only have deposits in on 6 or 7 of them at this point which I fully intend on discussing with Jack beginning next week in earnest...bleeb dat!! I also have 14 of the 15 2006 Black limited editions still available and nearing completion (check list in my signature line below).

Bottom line here is I can get one in your hands by the end of May no problemo and I also failed to mention that I have a personal soft spot for Victory Artists (yes, I am a sick man) so if you catch me on a night where I've had one too many Crown Royals in me (just about any night of the week) and feeling nostagic you just might get a great trade in value on that boat anchor.

Running out of Boddington's was not an act of carelessness. It's a bit difficult when you walk into a liquor store and ask for anything besides Coors (pronounced kerrs), Bud, or Miller Lite! They look at you like you have just arrived from Mars

Well, I can't speak poorly of Miller since they are one of my sponsors of School of Bass but if you decide to take posession of a 30th Ray from VBTC I'll toss in a case of Boddington's drop shipped to your door....five of em if I can come and help ya drank em on yer porch there in Bluegrass Country....isn't NorM a KY native??

Hmmmmmm....Maybe that explains why it's in such rough shape. I have to stop using it as a boat anchor!

Well, I must say that your Victory Artist is fine for shallow water fishin' but for deep water fishin' you best bring along an RD Artist or any CBS era Fender especially a late 70's northern ash body one.....deep sea fishin' bring an Alembic for sure....watch out for the undertoad.

Oh yeah! My pal Roy had an RD Artist. UGLY and HEAVY! A veritable Titanic anchor!

Ok, at the risk of being ridiculed for life, what's a "blank-plank"?

Sedona

Hey Steve,

I see you are in Phoenix. You ever go to a town called Sedona, Arizona? I have been offered a job there starting in the spring of 2007.

Thursday, eh? Well since my day planner is still in the wrapper at the store, I'll take your word for it. I am now counting down the days. Can't wait to own the first two strings of that bass. :p

Nice place to visit. Not sure I'd wanna live there. A bit of a tourist destination. If you want something different, Sedona would be it.

I have seen a few pics. Lots of cool rock formations and that sort of thing. But I am not much of a back to nature type. I promised I would fly out this summer and check it out. It looks like all those old cheesy cowboy movies! :)

I will most likely go for the Stingray from vintagebass.com. Apparently they have quite a good reputation.
Since there's plenty of mixing basses, business and beer, I just wanted to make sure you knew that:
Steve Dude Barr = vintagebass.com = VBTC

and that Jack (bovinehost) is his sometimes willing companion

Hopefully, you have already made that connection, but you were talking about VBTC in the third person.

Oh, I know the ones you mean. The pachouli, ass, and curry stink crowd! Rich white kids with dreadlocks and $500 sandals! :D

Always good for a laugh!

I believe many people (including me at one point) that have tried the biamped route find that the final result is less than the sum of the parts. Meaning, the rig will almost always sound better in full range mode than split up as a biamp.

Absolutely

Get a nice solid 4x10, 2x12 or 6x10 cab (something nice and solid like that) and run the amp full range.

or even better, an 8x8 ;)
