Question Does the EQ is active only?

Hi Everyone
This is my first post i am gald to be a member in this forum
you may call me Leo and come from Hong Kong
And there are some question related my musicman bass
last mouth i purchased the 25th Anniversary 4 string HH bass
by the way
when i turn the EQ - treble, high-mid, low-mid, bass in the passive mode
the sound is no big difference or seems no difference,
Thus, i get to ask Does the EQ is Active only?
liked the tone is Passive only
or this bass need to repair....

EQ works in active mode only. Tone knob works in Passive. Your bass is working fine. JOSH
