Wow! What an amazing score! That EVH looks brand new, I still can't believe how much you got it for. Your collection needs two more Axis'...;)

Nice one Kevin, great pick up on both, man I wish I would have moved on that Emerald Green, and yea maple necks at GC tend to get nasty if they sit too long, I would rather age it myself.

Was the Emerald NOS or Used? Never quite figured that out. Keep it up and well you will be the new Assman!!

NOS my brutha. You missed out. I did some serious manual labor on the neck though. It was yucky. Thanks for thinking a little too hard & not striking while the iron was hot. LOL.

You have to pace yourself a bit. Otherwise, you'll end up like me in 2010  ;)

Although, I would have jumped on that EVH in a heartbeat! :)

They look great Kevin, glad you are happy with that Emerald Burst. I'm kicking myself a bit for not going after it that day instead of the AL but I'm glad you got it! It looks amazing now that it's all cleaned and oiled up, those wonder wipes sure do work. Congrats and enjoy that sweet thing.

Dave,
You are the man ! Without your photos & Browndog's keen eye, I wouldn't have it in my hands. And by the way, this one took a lot more than just wonder wipes. I used a ton of Murphy's oil soap & a lot of elbow grease.

Slav,
When I first joined the forum, I saw your collection. I thought to myself' " That guy is really sick". And now I've caught your disease!

Looking good Kev! I was a Fender die hard for more than two decades and never bought them anyway near the way I started buying EB's when the bug bit me six years ago. They are like the crack of guitars. Not that I would know what crack is like (let me make that clear lol). The EVH/Axis was my favorite Ball guitar, but when I rekindled with my original EVH I caught the fever bad. A few years ago it was not that easy to find certain EB's even here in NY like it has become in the last two years. So I had to get at least one of each model. If you love the Axis and 25th necks you will love the neck on the AL. By the way you look a little naked without an AL HH.

I need to play an AL. I'm sure my GAS hasn't been exhausted yet. Thanks for the advice.
