On the Sabre:

I'm working up the nerve to sell the Sabre and trying to be honest. Its been "mojo-ed" over the years and the finish is pretty worn so I can't tell if its a refin. I pulled the neck off and saw no other colors or signs of sanding.

DO ya think its rootbeer?

Looks root beer to me. How much you trying to get for it?

Looks pretty close to me. Here's mine as a comparison. It's actually darker than the picture. Maybe yours has faded with age.

Well, the fact that a new model is going to be a Two 'Bucker 'Ray sealed the Sbare fate.

Its a '79 Sabre, very well played in good condition. I'd like to get $600 + $25 for shipping.

how does the sabre play? i havnt heard much about the bass its self, besides its a ray with 2 pickups. well that is a pretty good price. i will have to think on it.

ill keep in touch. tell me when you are absolutly ready to sell.

This one plays well. Action is about "medium." I dont think its a Ray with two pickups. They are similar, but different. Plus it has some added tone shapers with the boost and para/series switches.

I'd say its more similar to a G&L l2000 than a Stingray

nm, i lost intrest once i heard two pickup sterling.

sorry
the finish rulse though, they should bring it back.

wow, I'd love to work out a deal for that once I got the cash, your asking 600+25 for shipping? sweet. PM me if it has not been sold in a couple of months, I'm looking for basses in that price range. :D
