To be totally honest with you I kinda like the tone, though I can see it being a problem if thats the only tone you can get. I have a guitar with pickups with a similar 'plunky' tone, so im sure they make pickups to have that country'ish tone. So idk if there is somthing wrong or not...

Not a problem. The guitar is actually great. I took maybe an hour and had the action perfect the pickups leveled and have had no problems with it. And, you're not a hack; the licks I heard sound great. I wish I was half that fast.

The two GC's here in town used to carry a few Silo's. I know they have cut down recently - I don't think they were selling well here in town. God knows why... They may still have a few though. Sam Ash doesn't carry EB anymore. After GC I'm not sure who the next closest dealer will be.

What are you looking for in an amp? I seem to run across several in the course of buying and selling.

I checked out GC and they usually just have Lukes and Petri's....I'm going to keep my eye open for another one on Ebay..... I actually bought two amplifiers yesterday... I ordered a Zinky 25watt head and got a great price on a Laney tt20 combo, I played through one of these at Reply Music in Akron and it was pretty smoking.... At this point I will have 3 amps, well the Zinky is going to take 6wks to make, their handmade by one guy....once I have them all, I'll decide between them and eliminate one of them and start to look for the silo......In the meantime I'm going to call sodja and have Tony setup my Strat and LP.... I have that Kramer thats just about ready to sell..... I saw one go for $400 + on Ebay.... so I hope to get bout' that much.......

maybe we could get together sometime and I can give yah somethings to work on to build up speed.... the thing that helps me most Is that I have my digital recorder, I create a loop and practice soloing to that........also, use a metronome and gradually increase your quads and trips speed :D in scales..... Its hard to find the time to do this though..... talk to yah later.....

Jeff,

I'd love to. I'm always in the mood to learn something new. If I run across any silo's around town I'll let you know. I'm planning on getting another silo (maple freatboard) as a backup to this one. Or maybe this one as a backup to it, who knows...
