Well, finally my PDN Morse arrived. While I was waiting I was thoroughly tempted by Music Man once again. As if it was meant to be both guitars arrived yesterday and I was able to pick them up today! First the PDN Morse (crappy indoor lighting pictures):

And guitar number 2 is...

A trans black Armada!

When weather permits better pictures will be taken.

I've played them both tonight. The PDN is an absolute beast! It kicks and screams! I had a standard Morse before, but it absolutely didn't sound like this one.

The Armada is just incredibly cool, I had to jump on this one. It sounds huge, especially clean. Very woody.

I'm a happy camper.

congrats! what a great day for you!
how is the armada compared to the morse? neck, weight, feeling....

oh man, the Armada is a guitar players guitar. Hard to describe unless you've actually played one. No much like the Morse

The Armada is really different from the Morse. Best way to describe it for now: Chunky. Sound is also vastly different. Where the Morse sounds rather aggressive, the Armada is more smooth and mellow. The neck is more big and wide then I'm used to, but I think it will grow on me fast. Those are just my first impressions though after playing them last night.

Congratulations, two in one day... The maple on the Morse, is eye catching.

Yeah, two in one was definitely not the plan.. I played the open card with my wife about these. When she came home last night she saw the guitars she said: they do look nice, but don't we have to upgrade our insurance by now.. She's the best! But I'm done buying gear for a long while now.

Wow, congrats on the pair. The trans black looks great on the armada. It must be difficult to decide which one to play. Enjoy!

Thanks, I really like flamed necks.

The Morse really feels like home to play, no adjustment needed. Maybe even a bit nicer than my Honey roasted Y2D.
But I've given the Armada some extra playtime this weekend. This thing rocks! I totally dig that it's vastly different from the other MM guitars. I always lusted after a nice LP, but never could get on with them. This is way better to play (for me that is)! The volume control is so usefull, no loss of high end!
