I have an OLP doubleneck, and after doing a whole bunch of research, I could never find any indication that a case was ever available. Mine came with the gig-bag, but haven't been able to find a hardshell to fit it.

If you ever do find one, I would be very interested to find out about it....

no hard case ever came with the OLP

Drats...it's a birthday present...he has been paying on it for a while and his mother paid it off for him. I guess he will just have to be careful with it. He (His name is Kevin) is a HUGE John Petrucci and DT fan and hopefully I will be getting him a JP from Pete for his next birthday. The boy has some serious musical talent...very proud daddy here.

Thanks for the help guys.

I bet that you can order a custom Tour Case (or Flight Case) which is one of the safest ways to protect your guitar. Once I had this Jackson RR guitar and there was no chance to get decent case here in Poland. I decided to order one at Paco - Cases (local leader in making professional cases). The result was amazing. So I suggest to look for a manufacurer who specializes in such types of hard cases...at least if you don't find proper hardshell (abs case or alike).

best,
Mike

Hey Tony - thanks for those suggestions, but I had an Epi G1275 and bought a used case for another doubleneck I have that is a lawsuit knockoff of the EDS1275 and it was too narrow - the OLP won't fit in that case.

I may try to contact the company through that Douglas site and see if they also provide the centre to centre measurements for the neck cradles - while I realize that the price is not bad, I wouldn't want to get into too much modification to the case - it won't be much use if the necks on the OLP don't line up with, and lie nicely in, the neck cradles...

Thanks for the tip!

Grumpy, no problem. I just did a google search for doubleneck cases, and those seemed like the most feasible options. It might be that a custom case would be the answer. I also don't know if it would be possible to order a doubleneck Silo case for the OLP from customer service. But I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask. . . . .
