Slash= Lead Guitar
Bruce Spingsteen= Rhythm guitar and vocals
Dave La Rue= Bass
Terry Bozio= Drums
David Coverdale= Vocals
Richard Wright= Keys

dream band 2.0

i would like to edit my former dream band after futher thought and consideration
vox-matt skiba (alkaline trio)
guitar- dave navarro (janes addiction, panic channel, rhcp)
bass - Eerie Von (samhain,danzig)
drums - johnny kelly (type o negative, seventh void)

not possible to choose ONE person ...

vocals - James LaBrie / Glenn Hughes / Ian Gillan ... and me :)
guitars - Frank Zappa / John Petrucci / Steve Lukather / Steve Howe / Scott Henderson / Steve Vai / Adrian Belew ... and me :)
bass - Tony Levin / John Myung / Billy Sheehan
keys - Jordan Rudes / Rick Wakeman / Keith Emerson
drums - Vinnie Colaiuta / Chad Wackerman / Terry Bozzio / Mike Portnoy / Bill Bruford

and : John Lennon ... lyrics :)

and many others ... this is too difficult ... impossible :)

voice - Jesus
Guitar - John Petrucci, Steve Vai, and Me
Bass - Les Claypool
Drums - Portnoy and Niel Peart
Keys - JR

name... we've got Jesus who needs a name...?

(put Jesus mainly just cause I couldn't figure out someone that would mix well...)

Vocals: Robert Plant
Guitar: John Petrucci + Steve Morse
Bass: Tony Levin
Keys: Jordan Rudess
Drums: Mike Portnoy

Basically I just thought that I would love to have JP and SM play together, and then tried to figure who else would go with them. I love JP's and JR's interactions (ie: unison solo in In the Name of God/all of LTE). I think Tony Levin brought a lot more to LTE than Myung ever has to DT, although I love Myung. I couldn't go with anyone but Portnoy for drums.
I'm a fan of instrumental tracks so originally I would have left this lineup without a singer, but I've been running through all my Led Zeppelin albums recently and Plant has really grown on my as a vocalist. I'd still like mostly instrumental stuff though.
I guess my band is a little inferior because it doesn't have Jesus...

vocals: Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria
Guitar: John Petrucci of Dream Theater
Guitar: The Edge of U2
Bass: Les Claypool of Primus
Drums: Neil Peart of Rush
Keys: Rick Wakeman of Yes

Roadie: Yngwie Malmsteen hahahah :D
Name: In The Eyes Of Fire
Best line up hands down!

i would definitely check that lineup out...

i think i've said before in a post somewhere... if DT got rid of JL in favor of claudio i would have a fit [in a good way] (i love the old DT stuff but i've just grown tired of the way he uses his voice these days... all the corny *cough*megadeth*cough* growling and crap, and get rid of JR too and bring back KM or DS while we're at it for the dream DT)

I'd pay a few hundred bucks for a studio cd of instrumental material with the following lineup:

Guitar: Guthrie Govan
Bass: Dave LaRue
Drums: Virgil Donati
Keyboards: Kevin Moore

With guest appearances by John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, and Marco Sfogli

Vocals: Robert Plant
Guitar: John Petrucci + Steve Morse
Bass: Tony Levin
Keys: Jordan Rudess
Drums: Mike Portnoy

drumroll please...

liquid tension experiments with steve morse and robert plant :p:p:p

Hmmm....
That could work.
For some reason though, I'm leaning toward the name...
Eggplant!
It just seems to fit...
Eggplant!
Ya. I'm going to go with that.

Myung actually writes a LOT of DT's riffs, you know. A LOT. Also, his lyrics owned. Plus, he's cooler than Tony Levin 'cause he plays Bongo 6es. :D

I say we agree to disagree on the first points.
But yes, Bongo 6es dominate everything, including Chapman sticks.

I just wanted to express my amazement that none of these lineups feature "Pleasureman" Günther on vocals... :D

Don't forget to throw Bruce Hornsby in there on piano.
