Im really curious to take a steve morse model and slap a petrucci piezo trem on it. If i could i would and i make with a burnt apple finish with abolone pickguard. Or Take a Petrucci piezo loaded guitar and put the two extra single coils in it like the morse and put a morse blue burst on it. I know kinda stupid but thats what i would like if i could get it. what do you guys think? Imagine the switching system!!!! that would be crazy! so many variables. hahah

God bless,

Tony

i guess i should have gotten to the point.... Does EB have a custom shop that you can make requests for instruments like the ones mentioned above?

I like the idea of a Silhouette body without pickguard, 2 axis humbuckers, axis neck, and volume, tone and 3 way. And a quilted maple cap on a basswood body too.

In green!

I second Tims suggestion, Im suprised they havent done anything like that, well they have the new sub guitars coming out with 2 buckers so theyre getting closer -

As long as we're dreaming, I'd like an Albert Lee "gold top", no pickguard, with rosewood fretboard and matching headstock. It would have pearl-buttoned locking tuners, three Seymore Duncan mini-humbuckers, a Morse pseudo-"tune-o-matic" bridge, a three way toggle (neck, neck & bridge, bridge) on the lower horn and four knobs (three volumes - middle pickup always "on" - & master tone) in typical LP-style layout...

cool...

Yeah, I agree with Tim somewhat.

I would love to see a Silhouette w/o a pickguare. And with some kinda quilted finish. Dunno about green, but definitely something natural show the beauty of the wood.

My 2 cents,

There was some talk of MM setting up a custom shop last year. We'll see what happens.

They're probably busy with a Baker design right now.

Hopefully.

Mmmmm Custom shop Music Man!!!

I like this idea very much!

Mind you, as they are more or less custom made anyhow, I can't see say putting a Luke neck on a Axis body would cause too many problems.

Mind you, I don't run a guitar manufacturing business so I would imagine its more complicated than that!

I would think it wouldn't be too hard, just a matter of be able to get it to pay for itself.

Most requests would be of the type we've seen - different colors, mixing different production models, etc. I would think you just build up a stock of production parts, and assign an industrious guy to do assembly.

Gene can handle the weird requests. :)

Anyway, all I want is a sonic blue AL with a rosewood neck. How hard is that?

EB - I'll send you money right now! I've been spreading your gospel all over the net! Where's the love??!!

it would just be nice if you could do any thing with anybody as long as it was in the parameters of what EB already does you know?
