I was out on LiveNation today and noticed that there's ONE American date for Progressive Nation 2009 posted. Tickets aren't available yet, but I bet we'll see more dates soon!

I'm psyched to hear the new album and see them with Zappa Plays Zappa. It should be a killer show. Platinum Package is a MUST this time around.

can't wait.

I too will get the platinum package this time around! I want my lefty signed. Let's see him shred on a left handed JP, HA. :p

Actually, he probably can, I shouldn't taunt him. :D

Let's not forget about John Myung! Mr. Bongo 6 plays for Dream Theater also :D

I am so stoked to hear the new album. From the teaser they put on MySpace it sounds like it's going to be another great album. And it just so happens that it comes out 2 days after Father's Day. I wonder what my wife & kids are getting for me :D

Update, they added more dates and they are playing Convention Hall in Asbury Park, NJ! woohoo!!

Nice! Closest to me is still Chicago, though. I'm hoping for Cleveland or maybe they could come back to Cincinnati? It's been a while since they came to Cincy...Gigantour in '05 I think.

Most likely not. The Cincinnati venues have a way of steering clear of "heavy" acts. The only venues here that get them are Bogart's and Annie's and neither of them are big enough for Dream Theater.

I'm probably going to have to go to Cleveland again, which is fine. I've got friends up there I can stay with after the show. If that doesn't work out, I'll go to Chicago. I don't mind the drive. It's only like 4 1/2 hours and the wife is going with me so it's all good.

woohoo I got my presale tix!

I bought the Meet and greet package. It's expensive but I have been waiting for this for 17 years.

Now here is my question because I am a "meet and greet" noob.

Am I allowed to bring my JP to get signed? Bring a camera? etc...

if yes, do I keep this stuff with me during the show or do i have to put it all back in my car?

I know that is a HUGE noob question, but i have never done it before.

thanks!

The meet & greet is usually before the show so you'd have time to put everything in your car after that. I don't see a problem with taking your JP with you or a camera, but all of that should be in the meet & greet details.
