Dream Theater opening for Maiden Summer 2010

That should be fun. I went to 8 shows in 3 countries on Maiden's Somewhere Back In Time Tour in 2008 and they were fantastic as always. And we all know DT puts on a great show. I assume DT will get to play a longer set than an opener usually gets.

Now thats a cool pair, might have to check it out seeing the first show is in Dallas, wish it was at a different venue though Superpages is not my favorite place to see a show, actually my least favorite, but might have to suck it up and get my brother to go with me.

I live just outside of Boston, but travel to NY/NJ for almost every show I see. The crowds are better and the bands always seem to put on better shows in those venues. I must say that the Canadian audiences are amazing as well, and on a whole the friendliest group of concert goers of any country I've been to.

If DT is co-headlining, I'll probably go to the one in NJ, but if they're just opening, I don't know. Either way this is awesome, and definitely an unexpected surprise!

They've done it a few times i think, they played a whole album for the second set.

Yes, they also released it as part of their Ytse Jam label's bootleg series. The jazzy version of Gangland is great.

I love listening to that album, I wonder if DT will cover a song in their set beforehand. Granted they will have a limited amount of time for their own music, it wouldn't surprise me if they decide to.
