Playing a gig today and whilst my mate put my bass on the strap was twisted, it let go and fell on the floor.
Damage to the finish and also bent the jack plate, jack plug thread and put a split in the finish where the screws were forced out the wood on the jack plate.
Can i get a replacement jack socket and plate from ebmm? As for the finish, luckily its a natural finish so ill only need the lacquer repairing but dont know of any reputable companies/repairmen in the midlands uk.
Any help will be appreciated.

Ouch, I'm sorry! Did you friend pick it up with your permission? I've had this happen YEARS ago, when I was a young lad practicing in a band with school mates. It was my old Yamaha Pacifica guitar....just a cheap old practice guitar luckily. The exact same thing happened to it...but I had let him play it.

I would highly recommend either straplocks, although some people just use the rubber top off beer bottles.

Contact Strings & Things. I had a new jackplate from them....easy to get. If you can, ring them and discuss a repair.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The band i play in we switch instruments and the strap had become twisted and he didnt notice. As i turned to pick up my guitar i heard it hit the ground. Pissed off is putting it lightly as i look after my instruments but i realise that these things happen sometimes. The odd scratch or mark i dont mind over time but i need to get this repaired.
