Alright, so recently my band has dropped our tuning from standard EADG to C#G#C#F# (everything down a half step, and the E dropped another whole step)

I know since I have gone from Super to Regular slinkies (because of the lower tuning) I should get my bass re set up, but would that eliminate the fret buzz on the E string? The other strings have been fine, but the E, being so low gives me a lot of buzz. Would a set up allow me to use this same gague? I was thinking I would have to get a thicker E string to make up for it being so low. Maybe the E from a set of Power slinkies? I'm a fool and any help would be appreciated

We do this sort of thing all the time when Artists call and want a bass tuned c or c#. A proper set up with the thicker gauge strings would be in order.
I'm sure you will get some recommedations here
but you can also call Keith or John in our repair
dept for set up details. 866-823-2255 x237 0r 209.
