dearest knuckleheads,

may i present to you....... the file you've all been waiting for (ok, really only oli, and jack have been waiting for)....... here he is in all his (passive, direct w no amp, using only a markbass compressor) glory the dopest, deepest, smartest, none more blacker-ist, meanest bass in all the world....... bp calls him gamechanger, i call him gobstopper.

Nice job Craig! I loved how even your slides were and how fat that tone was. Those keys took me back to some of my 80's shows in a good way. Thanks for sharing. Now if only I can talk BP into dropping a gamechanger into a roasted neck at NAMM.

I was thinking the exact same thing...

Were you running through the Sans VT as well?

Craig......Shhhhh - you're close to breaking your NDA. ;)

thanks man. the very second thing i noticed about this bass was how every single note on this thing is the exact same volume. this thing is so level up and down the neck i have no doubt that crazy bad wizard magic must have been involved. and i dig that about dudley. maybe hes over playing it a bit with the black sparkle wizard sleeved lab coat, and fiber optic torch (he had to go fiber optic after setting a stack of necks on fire. in hindsight even that turned out to be an inspired wizard move cause that pile of necks turned out to be twice as strong and have beautiful enhanced harmonic overtones. only a few of that batch remaining for purchase, because like i said, hes fiber optic now.), but im willing to overlook a freak flag or two for gamechanging tone.

no. this is all gamestobber. thats GROWL you are hearing, not distortion. distortion is the thing i used to use to simulate / enhance growl. no alternative methods be needed here, and that is in fact the very first thing i noticed about this beast. and remember, this is PASSIVE, you should hear it with the preamp kicked in. too bad you cant cause its real good.

he has no nda he likes to torture too thats why we get along No sans amp thats the bass
It's good to work with people you know and trust - no NDAs required!

Torture us with sound clips or just verbally torture Jack as he usually does? Both, right?

Straight-up with only a hint of compression? Both my attention and ears are peaked to very high levels now. This is definitely fascinating stuff...

Like I said in my response to BP, this is definitely fascinating. Straight-in with just a bit of compression and it's incredibly "life-like" - meaning, it has dimension to it without resorting to other outboard gear (Sans VT etc.)

straight in, straight up, broseph. i only lie to jack. JUST KIDDING jacktard, you know way way wwwaaaaaay deep down i got mad love for the lord-0-bingo. (see what i mean alex. i dont like lying to him, but honestly i have no choice. its the only way you can communicate with this type. tangible cold hard facts just bounce right off of him. its not his fault, he was trained by the us government.)

Ugh, ...that was...wonderful, even through my cheap PC TEAC monitor 2-way speakers at work, bass line is deep, rich, full of tone, cuts through in every second...just great!

Excellent! :)

P.S. ...I'll check it later through professional studio earphones! ;)

OK, checked through Beyerdynamic DT 770 headphones, absolute fantastic!

Craig, You have one vote more (+1) from my singer, he works with me here right now (sound technician & musician), he just noticed perfect harmony of Your bass and kick drum!

Great production, well done people! Even I still don't get it about this Gamechanger stuff, but results are most important anyway!

Can't wait for some official videos and demos after NAMM! :)

I have to admit I was a sceptic of this newfangled gamechanger mullarky.

Note the use of past tense.

darn corporate firewalls/blockage. Have to wait until I get home to hear what all the fuss is about. But I'm sure if Craig did it, 'twil be great. Start saving, start saving, start saving.
