I saw an awesome pic of John Myung playing a black Bongo with a Tort Pickguard. I'll post it when I can. What a sweet combination that is.

Timmy, during Constant Motion, he's using the Egyptian Smoke Bongo 5HH. But during that little distorted bass solo thing, he recorded that with a HS Sterling.

John has just received his first Bongo 6 protoype! We are all curious to see what he thinks. Stay Tuned!

Okay, I'm getting sick of going to the Portnoy forum to see if JM strapped on the Bongo 6 at a show. I keep going there and searching for "bongo," and all I see are threads in which I'm the last poster. Grr...:p

Just a couple of noob-questions about John Myung:

1. I think he still endorses Yamaha. Why does he play EBMM basses in public with increased frequency? (Please don't tell me "because they are prett good *g*). Couldn't that behaviour cause some "irritations" at Yamaha's?

2. It was said that BP won't release a "singature" bass. Why? Because the Yamaha JM bass is pretty successful.

Gonna have to break both of our dreams. I think BP or someone within the company has said that there won't be a "signature" bass, but I think Myung will be the first to endorse it when it arrives.

I'd buy a 6er Bongo right quick as well. I don't know what color I'd get it in... maybe that year's LTD setup? That would be cool.

why? why won't the company make signature basses? we already got the best roster here. name tony levin the most experimental bass player alive. dave larue... the grammy nominee. and last but not least john myung the bassist of dream! with just these 3 we already complete. i think they deserve sig basses cos they are special. i couldn't even dream that these 3 will apart from EBMM just bcos sig bass issue. then they play for another gear that would provide them sig bass. noooooo... wake up... tis just a dream!!! hehe... i'm too much
