Hi there,

I'm new around these parts, don't own any musicman basses yet, and I had a question before I buy one.

I know EB doesn't allow stores to ship their guitars internationally, but I was wondering if (in my case) a Canadian authorized EBMM dealer, could "buy" stock from a US dealer, so that I can then in return buy said instrument from the Canadian dealer?

I'm guessing no, but thought i'd ask anyway.

And I know I can order any bass through the Canadian dealer anyway, but the one i'm interested in is a Dargie. :D

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum.

The way I understand things is that a dealer would have to order from the importer for that country. On that basis, a dealer in one country can't order from a dealer in another country....but I stand corrected.

I'm 100% sure that US dealers CAN ship USED EBMMs outside of the country.
So you might want to look into that, or eBay, or something.
If you want a new one, might I suggest a roadtrip!

Good scoring your 1st EBMM and welcome to the forum!

Not even if they split the profit?

Many different businesses operate around the world like this in order to ensure total Customer Satisfaction in one off cases.

I've bought two Bongos off ebay because off the same problem, and the skyhigh prices here in Europe. It has worked out perfectly.
EBMM build quality is so consistent, that I won't hesitate doing it again.

(;)BTW my CAR Bongo 5HH is up for sale...)

I just don't know about those Dargies. They say green basses sell like blue food!

Ritchie

P.S. After the week I've just had, I shouldn't mention "blue food"! UGH!

Morning Mac....

Beth's on her way to visit family in Oklahoma, so I'll jump in here. As BP had mentioned if you are looking for a instrument that is no longer in production(and has been out of production for 24+ months) you are allowed to purchase the said instrument through a dealer located outside of your home country. Thats the exception to the rule. Dealer to Dealer purchases are not allowed as the instrument would be considered "used" once it was sold sideways. Shoot me a PM or e-mail with the instrument your looking for and we'll see what we can track down for you. We have a great Canadian dealer base so I have a feeling we can find what your looking for.

Do all Dealers Know about this? I wouldn't mind getting another 30th Ann. SR but can't get any down here.

24+ months. That rules the Dargies out then. Are the 2005 LE models outside this period?

Giving this a little bump, because in about 15 hours, I should have my first Ernie Ball bass. Thanks to Kevin and the EB team. :)
