Hi,

I recently bought a Silhouette Special. One thing I can't figure out is how to take off the tremelo bar. On my Ibanez and Fender, I just turn it counterclockwise until it "screws" out. However my MMSS just seems spins in a circle without backing out.

Anyone know how to take it out?

I warned you it was a newbie question! :D

Congrats on your new Silo Special! The arm should just pop out, unless it's been modded to thread in and out, like one of mine  .

How come you want to take it off? It fits in the Music Man hardshell case with the bar on. If you've got one of those cases, why bother? That is, unless you're putting it in a gig bag or something.

Good question. I was just leaving it in there for a few months, and it did fit in the case just fine... in fact it was sent to me that way. I found that rather surprising. I just wanted to know "how" to do it, as I couldn't figure it out.

Yeah, just pull it straight out. I certainly never thought to try removing it that way.

Thanks guys.
