Yea - I'm a bit bummed... I was hoping to attend and even bring the little lady. I've no problem with the "Fly-out for the weekend thing", but the airfare alone for the two of us is in the $1000 range...

We have a big (translation "expensive") vacation planned for the end of August... And a new Bongo... And a new stack... I just can't swing it this go round. :(

Be sure to keep this thing under control - don't mess it up for next year and I may get out there after all! ;)

Yeah check jet blue -They are having a big sale now. I see you're in Jersey. My flight from Kennedy to San Jose just got dropped to $109 each way then its a 3 hour drive or so. Connecting into SLO will cost you more but a thrifty rent - a - car is only $20/day for a mid-size - combined with Motel 6 for two nights plus the eats provided by our hosts - this whole weekend is happening for under $500 all in including ancillary cash expenditures from NYC to SLO.

As soon as I get the confirmation back I'll be making travel plans. Unfortunately I will be missing the concert on Saturday night. :mad:

As impossible a coincidence can be, I actually have a Sunday afternoon gig to get back for - we only get a few opportunities a year to play out, so I'll be grabbing a red-eye back to make my commitment.

I'm most looking forward to the factory tour and meeting the folks behind these great instruments, so it's still way worth it to me! :D
