Yeah sorry, I was specifically looking for the Food Network show with Sterling(Just missed it). I had checked the web site and they dont list any replay times as yet for that show.

Although the concert would be great as well...

I thinnk Loeb is amazing, especially her Firecracker CD. Another awesome female performer is Poe. She is probably one of my favoirtes. Oh, and depending on what station you listen to, you can hear a lot of those ladies mentioned.

Actually today on my way to work I heard:

Aimee Mann, Erin McKeown and Tori Amos. Very fun!

mrwinders, The Food Network only repeats the show at 2:00 AM, just 4 hours after the initial broadcast of Dweezil and Lisa. You can check their Video On Demand and see if it's an option there.

peter71,

How was the Lisa Loeb show Wed night? What did you think of the band? Did she give any reason why Dweezil wasn't playing?
Did see have her Sparkle Albert Lee?

Ummm, I actually didn't get to go. I had to sell my tickets. I am a consultant and I had a huge project due last night, so I had to stay home and work on it. BOO WORK!

On the bright side...

Oh crap, there wasn't a bright side. It sucked.

And remember folks, TV is a wedding photographer (and I might add, an excellent one at that)...anyone who can even think of making a living with the potential Bride-zillas of the world and still come out with a sense of humor intact has gotta be a very, VERY patient fella indeed! ;)

Back on topic, I ran into Ms. Loeb at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin back in '97, I believe she lives/lived there. Was watching some heavy alt-rock band in some club, and just happened to turn around (and look down) for some reason, and there she was right behind me, big glasses and all. Yup, she's as tiny and button-cute as she looks in all the pix; what was really funny was the band was totally NOT what you'd expect her to listen to...for all we know she probably listens to Black Sabbath, Henry Rollins and Megadeth when nobody's around! :p

Thanks PS.

God, she'd pretty much be perfect then, wouldn't she?

Pack-Rat:

Though the glass may only be at 50% capacity, it is filled with good beer, so it still is a win/win situation.

I also like to listen to Megadeath when no one is looking. Does that make me perfect?

*Remove fantasy picture of Lisa Loeb and insert fantasy picture of Chris Farley for most accurate effect of previous statement.*

It is just the cold scientific way I look at the world.

BTW if life throws you lemons and it hurts why don't you pin life down and crush the lemons into life's eyes ?

Great, now I feel kind of bad for snubbing Ms. Loeb at the 9:30 Club show a few weeks ago. I was more interested in talking to Dweezil and she was standing right next to me. Our elbows even touched a few times, that's how close we were. I noticed that she kept looking at me, I guess thinking I was gonna ask her for her autograph or something. She is tiny. I mean I'm short at 5'4, but I'd say she's like 5'2 or so. At one point she said, 'excuse me' to me so she could ask Dweezil something. Very polite. Maybe I should have had her sign my ticket. I wasn't really thinking. Dweezil is a really nice guy too.

For those interested in seeing the Dweezil and Lisa show on the Food Network, it's comes on tonight(Friday) at 10:00PM.

Update

Oops. I just checked the Food Network site and the D&L show isn't on this week. Back the 19th with a show on Comfort foods.

I did that once.

Went to a Lloyd Cole show, he had Jill Sobule open up, and she played some guitar in his band. After the show they were signing stuff and I totally snubbed her.

Felt like an ass for weeks.

Yeah, I feel like an ass too. Anytime a see a band and have a chance to talk to them afterwards, I always thank them for the show. And there I was right beside Lisa and I didn't even speak to her. Very bad manners on my part.
