Stuart Smith and Joe Walsh we're just bringing down the sold out Arena Using all these Ernie Ball Music Man Guitars, I think Timothy will soon wake up too, I love Old Fenders but his tone was just not there, but still an amazing Player.

Go Ernie Ball Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.:D

did joe use a lot of our stuff? we just sent him another Steuart is a long time player of our stuff

Yes Joe used a lot of Ernie Ball Guitars, he had a Black Sparkle looked like a Axis Sport among many others, he also used a Candy Apple Red 3 single coil Music Man with all EMG's Sorry I didn't get close enough to see which one it was but man that guitar sounded incredible.

Yeah, I caught them in LA at the Hollywood Bowl. They still got it. Joe can't really hit the high notes any more, but neither can a lot of the senior citizens on tour right now.

As Joe and Stuart changed guitars about every song, with about a 30-song set, it was sort of a guitar love-in. Meanwhile, Timothy B. played two basses all night. A sunburst one with a tort guard, and a white one with a tort guard. won't mention the mfg. Bass players are so low maintenance compared to guitards.

Timothy also Played a 1964 Black J Bass with Matching head at this show along with his 60 Burst and that white one, I Love old fenders but in todays world where everything in the mix is in your face those fenders just didn't cut it, buried in the mix, but they sure looked good.

I'd fault the soundman for that, not the instrument. Just sayin'....

Aww come on now... on any other forum I'd have to agree with you... but here we dont have to be afraid to be fan boys. :D

Nothing cuts though the mix like a EBMM. (period)

Well I do know one thing, Being a Big fender user doing a sound check they'd always say the basses just didn't produce like all the newer ones that we're active, then 1985 I went 100% Music man and I never get one Remark, So I must agree, Nothing Cuts like a Music Man Bass.

Steuart Smith EBM Sunburst with 2 P-90's

Does anyone know which model Musicman guitar that Steuart Smith plays on the Eagles tour? Of course he plays6 or 8, but the one I'm interested in is the 3 Color Sunburst model, no pick gurard, 2 single coils (P-90 style). Any help?

Haven't seen it in person, but it sounds like an older Axis Sport - solid ash body and available in sunburst and several configs including 2 MM-90's with no guard. It was discontinued around the turn of the century with the introduction of the Super Sport which incorporated the Axis body wood combo of basswood with a maple cap (or ash with a maple cap if ordered with the MM-90's)
