Hey Brutus,

Love the pics! Thanks for posting!! How does she sound?

Did I hear BP is reissuing the Earthwood? What about colors? Can I get a fretless? Oh, and a lefty for The King? What about wood types?

Here we go........tbone :D
The sound is great! Those Earthwood re-issue rumors are running wild. Maybe a factory s.w. Michigan near the lake? Seriously tho, they are in demand.

Thanks everybody for your remarks. It is truely a remarkable piece! Whenever I take it out of the gig bag i always hear the same two words, "Gawd Dam"! Yes, even the Christians.

BP, I am certifiable idiot on occasion. My only redeeming quality....... I own an Earthwood.

I have enjoyed using the "search" function to learn of it's history. Quite interesting. I know mine was a "working" bass by the wear. Trying to find out who put the mileage on.

no problem Brutus...just done pm me or add me as a friend on Facebook! hehehehe

Thanks for the hint BP! Thankfully.... i'm not the kind of person that would waste the time of anyone dedicated to the notion of reviving the Earthwood to once again regain the hopes and dreams of acoustic bassist everywhere.

Don't worry about the cost. It will pay for itself. The hype, in itself will have positive extrapolations.

Brian Ritchie / Femmes / Earthwood

Mentioned to Brian on Facebook that Sterling dropped a hint re: Earthwood. He'd love to talk to Sterling about it.

To your point, the Earthwood CAN supply a hearty low end. This one spent nearly 20 years with a 3-piece to include an accordian and saxaphone, playing the Win Schulers circuit.
