Hi, I just wanted to share some opinions about this cool products :)
on Sept 26th a friend came from US and brought a lot of guitar goodies for me, including 12 packs of EB coated strings (yes, 12! :D) and EB strap locks.
- EB coated strings: I was surprised to notice that I can't see the coating on the wired strings, line on the Elixir I used until now. is it so thin that you can't see it ? :p I loved the sound of the string, but after 6-7 hours of playing the sound of G string only on drive is very dirty, not clear at all... anyone experienced that, maybe a bag G string on this set only? :)
- EB strap locks: I read many users concerning about the length of the screw (and the of drilling), but I was surprised to see that the screw provided is about 4-6 mm shorter than the stock one on the guitar , so I used the screw that was originally mounted on the guitar . :D
the super locks seem to hold pretty secure the guitar, but maybe I'll try the Dimarzio clip locks , mainly because of 2 reasons: 1.the wide distance between strap and guitar body - is not holding the cable ; 2 I don't like the sound - like a crack, scratch when you hold the guitar and moving it while playing - the strap is moving , locks a bit, and there it goes that sound :)

My 2 Strats have straplocks (not EBMM) and I never liked the rattle, which has put me off exploring other brands.

My coateds definitely didn't wear like that. I love em'!

But I'm with ya on the rattle from the superlocks, I was so excited for them but that "click" sound when they move around is pretty distracting.

Play louder and you will hear no rattle !

Personally I use the DiMarzio clip locks (like Steve Morse, surprising isn't it !). Very strong but can damage the finish of the guitar.
