I want to try out a set of EB MM flats. But I am confused on which ones to try. I will be putting them on a 92 fretted SR.

How do the EB flat III's compare to say the TI or DR flats. I want a little more tension than the TI's. But not too much more. How smooth are they and how do they sound compared to the TI's or DR flats?

I've got a set on my HH SR4. Tension, smoothness and brightness are all very similar to D'Addario Chromes, and they sound just about the same as Chromes. Obviously, that means the tension is higher than TIs, but nowhere near as high tension as Rotos or Fender flats.

I've been looking back threw the old threads. From the information I've read I'm assuming the III's are close in tension to the 45-100 round wound slinky set that originally came on the bass? That is close to the tension I'm looking for.

Do you have any experience with the IV's?

I love the EB Slinky Roundwounds, and to me the Group III flats were the closest match I could get for flatwounds. I also like their sound a bit better than other flats, they do have a very nice midrange growl.
