EB get-together???

Not sure where to post this exactly, so sorry if it belongs elsewhere. But it's about EB guitar owners getting together soooooo...

I'm curious about hosting an unofficial EB get together of sorts and if there would be interest from those who would consider going to Raleigh, NC. I have a venue that seats about 65 with a fully outfitted soundstage, so it would make for a nice place to get together and do some jamming etc. I thought it might be yet another different place for EB people to gather and check out others' guitars/basses. Open House inspired me, so what can I say?

For personal reasons, I couldn't do anything before Nov., but something like this would need more notice for all anyhow, so the timing could be sorted out. So what do ya think? Who would be able and willing to attend something like this in Raleigh?

Considering I was supposed to be living there by now, but due to some unfortunate circumstances, I have deferred from grad school for this year, but I'll be there in full swing next year.

Paul, could I suggest doing it early next year or next spring? Given that the Texas bash is in Nov, you might get better attendence if you give folks a little time to recharge the travel $$

That's probably not a bad idea. It would also give me more time to develop it instead of just throwing it together too quickly. Good to see there is some interest in this part of the globe.

Oh yeah...there's interest Let's see...With the open house in CA last year, and Texas this year, I'm hopin' BP will bring the road show to the east coast next.

Absolutely - I don't want to affect any other event in any way. Just lookin' to see if there is enough interest to do something on the east coast in the future. Maybe after Dallas, I can see if there is still enough interest for something out this way...

Great suggestion, Paul. I agree with MikeVt, that late winter/early spring 2007 would be a better time to do this. Besides, many of us Northeasterers wouldn't need much convincing to get the hell out of the Northeast and head down south for a weekend during that time of the year.

I think it's a nice idea, and I would definately be interested in attending. Especially since I missed the Open House last year.
