Hi guys, I was just noticing the new off-white colour on a new Dodge Magnum and it looks kinda close to the new Buttercream finish. I was just wondering, do you do any kind of recon. into the automotive field and such for new colour ideas??

We did have a color called Gremlin Green...Never made it to production

It may have been a joke, but I'd get in line for a "Hummer Yellow" SR5, black guard, yellow knobs.
Oh it's no joke, Mister! Except I think a chrome p/g would be cool! :p

Wish my bass had the same color as a "COOL" big bute of a car or suv... but no, mine shares its heritage with this small tincan on wheels. (Great bass! Tiny, Whimpy Car!) :D

I once built a P bass to match my 79 Trans Am. Blue. Sorry no pix. I was having my spoiler corner pieces repainted and they charged my $75 to paint the bass body. That bass is long gone.

Oddjob, you got a full frontal of the bass in your avatar?

I can't se it on the MM colour chart anymore :(

Here it is (1 of 3... I know 1 of the another one is a HH and is with the guy from Trick Pony... I am assuming the 3rd is an HS and its whereabouts are unknown)... awesome bass!!! It is just knid of funny... you see Hummer Yellow, Ferarri Red... and lowly Aveo Green

I know Jon , Jack & Co get fed up with requests for colours, but I'd iike to see that in production.

I guess OddJob wouldn't :)

I love that green.

I don't really get "fed up" with the questions about colors that are no longer in production, but wassa point? If people had been buying sparkles and whatever other discontinued color, the company would still be making them.

Plus....I have some suspicions that colors get dropped because retailers don't THINK they'll be popular and so don't order them in any quantity. So that may or may not reflect the reality of what we regular old bassists would buy.

Nonetheless, that's how it works, so....
