EB MM Luke Appreciation Thread...

So I don't know if we've done this before, but I thought it would be great to have a thread of all of our Luke's. Doesn't matter if it's a i, ii, or iii.... can we get some pics of our luke's?

My Luke III in bali burst has become my absolute favorite guitar to play. My Neptune Blue is a close second.

Here is a pic of them both:

As a side note, I was playing my Ibanez Jem this morning for a bit. It was ok... kind of uninspiring. But as soon as I picked up the Luke III, it was absolutely amazing. I have never had a guitar that literally makes me smile each time I play it.

And recently got an LIII Bali Burst from forumite Fred Smith (thanks Fred) but been really busy so haven't had time to take Real pictures... And I will have to agree with MystixBoy, the Luke III Is probably one of the best rock guitars out there... Love my Luke...

This is not a current photo. I sold the True Gold Luke and the Olive Gold LIII. I replaced them with a Neptune Blue LIII and a Bohdi Blue with rosewood neck, but I don't have a picture of them together yet.

Whats the difference between a Luke and LukeII? Ive never got to play them.

Eric, I beleive really the major differences are the Transition pickups in the LIII vs the EMG's in the Luke, DB boost, the availability of an HH version and the body being "3%" larger. Other than that I believe the rest is pretty much the same…UNLESS you get a BFR, which will have a maple cap. (Although the LIII BALI BURST also will have a maple cap.)

oops, sorry Eric, just noticed you said Luke vs the Luke 2. I was comparing Luke 2 to the LIII

Luke 1 will have a Floyd vs the vintage trem…I think the rest is the same? Except for the colors offered.

Whats the difference between a Luke and LukeII? Ive never got to play them.

Also the Luke 1 has different single coils, they are SA57s, not the SLVs you get on the Luke II. Also there is no tone control. And the neck is slightly skinnier.
