Can anyone tell me, what is the difference or how can you tell the difference between USA EBMMs and non USA models? Also, what is the diff between Axis, Axis Sport, and Axis Super Sports??

Hi Rumsfeld and welcome.

The axis come with a floyd Rose. one volume knob and a three way toggle selector.
HH - 2 DiMarzio custom humbucking pickups, no left hand option.

The axis supersport comes hardtail or with MM Vintage trem. 5 way blade pickup selector. A choice of pickups -
HH - 2 DiMarzio custom humbucking or MM90: (2 Music Man® MM90 vintage style "soapbar" single coil, featuring the exclusive patented Music Man® "Silent Circuit", which reduces hum and retains true single coil sound). Left hand option available.

Hope this helps?

the sport (not the super sport) is a discontinued model which had no maple top was made in ash and had a pickguard.

Some Axis Sports had pickguards - I think that only lasted for 2 years or so; once they discontinued the S/S/H and S/S/S models and added the 2 MM-90 model they dropped the pickguard. However, I believe you could add a pickguard as an option for a while.
