EB StrapLocks

Any word if these are out in stores yet? I should be getting my Dargie this coming Monday and I dont wanna have to put dunlops on it if i can keep it 100% EB. And the way I move around, there's no way I'm gonna play my Dargie without straplocks.

I have been told that they were a ways out from being available. Something in the neighborhood of 2 months.

Not by EB mind you.

I have dunlops on mine... and def not a fan... as soon as the EB straplocks are out... into the trash the dunlops go...

I'm using Schaller, while they're better than Dunlop, I can imagine something better..........

I love my Dunlops too, but if I had to choose between EB or Dunlop, who do you think I'm gonna pick?

Just a thought ... as a temporary solution, keep your current strap buttons and use this (inexpensive) solution until the EB's are available ... Dunlop 7007SI Ergo Lok Strap System from zZounds.com

I think a lot of us already have strap locks, as they are pretty handy to have. It's just we're waiting to switch. I would assume......

I dropped a Fender MIM strat off of a standard button. It broke. I won't treat anything like that which I love as much as my EB basses.

Like you got upset over a kid saying bongos are ugly.

I am going to cheerfully say I got something you can suck.

Until you break it once you don't know the cost.

The stock strap buttons are great if you just stand and play. I on the other hand do lots of jumps with my basses live so I would never risk playing without strap locks.

Also, if you play small venues where you are running the PA yourself on stage as well as playing bass, and you need to step on and off the stage/riser in the middle of a song to walk out front for a listen, straplocks are essential. As well as giving you confidence to get airborne or be a rock star without having to wonder if you and your bass are going to part company.
