Does anyone know or recommend a set of EB strings that would be suitable for a lap steel?
I've got these 2 that I built. the First one is 22.5 scale and the second is 25"
I've been using the Not Even Slinkys but they are not quite right.
If I bought individual strings, what would be the optimum gauge for open E and G tunings in those scale lengths?
Thanks

If my knowledge serves me right .. Open E would require some heavy strings ..
You can try more of our string sets (perhaps our nickel 13-56g) .. but going with individuals might be best. I have a friend who uses the following for open E:
.015
.020
.024w
.030
.038
.054

Hopefully this might be of some help!
