Man I love this product. I used to have to use rags and lemon oil and these things have made cleaning my guitars tremendously easier. And it has stopped the wife from telling me that I am ruining all of her good towels.

The necks of my guitars look fantastic after cleaning.

Big props to EB for coming out with such a great product.

I recommend this to everyone, and if you haven't tried them give it a shot. Its a wonderful product at a fantastic price.

I'm liking them too. Used one on a maple silo neck and board yesterday and it cleans up really nicely.

Yepp, WWs all the way !

@ edrod:
For the back of your neck, I'd suggest a warm shower and mild soap :D

...back on topic - use the fretboard conditioner. It works perfect for me.
Apply, let it sit for app. 5 minutes and then wipe off with a clean cloth.
There you are

Cheers

I think I read that you aren't supposed to let the fret conditioner sit on the unfinished neck very long. And I think you need to use the instrument polish instead of the fretboard conditioner. It's basically just wipe on and wipe off with clean rag. Someone correct me if i'm wrong here, but i'm pretty sure that's what i've read on here.

Here's the directions:
1) Apply Fretboard Conditioner
2) Allow formula to moisturize and dry
3) If needed, apply a dry cloth to neck after 10 minutes

The WW polish is for use on painted surfaces, i.e. body. WW fretboard conditioner is for use on both rosewood fretboards and on maple fretboards AND necks with oiled finishes, i.e. how most MM guitar necks are finished.

Hmmm... I guess I was wrong!

I almost responded to your post.

You may be thinking of the Birchwood Casey Tru Oil treatment? With that, you do have to wipe if off right away or it starts turning to a molasses goop. But I've not noticed that sort of thing with the WW fretboard stuff.

Guys, on the WW for fingerboards, is it recommended that you use them when you have all the strings off for a major cleaning or can you apply while the gtr is still strung up??

My JP fingerboard could use some lemon oil but I dont feel like messing up the trem by removing all of the strings and spending a bunch of time re-setting the level balance and the intonation...thanks

I use the fretboard cleaner with strings on also. I give it a more thorough cleaning when I change strings, which I do 1 string at a time. Doing it this way shouldn't effect your trem set-up. I solved that problem by getting a hard tail! :D

Whenever the fretboard starts looking a little dry, I apply it with the strings on by bending them out of the way where I'm wiping the board. It's a little trickier around the nut by I'm can get the entire fretboard. I always wind up with oil/conditioner on the strings. It doesn't hurt the strings. I wipe down the board and the strings after about 10 minutes or so, and the board looks great. I also use it on the back of my unfinished necks.
