Same here, I just restring my guitar instead wiping them with some oils and so on...new strings always sound better

Another disadvantage of living in Poland is...that I can't find a real music shop with Wonder Wipes...and I live in a capital city of Poland...but it doesn't matter...I can't still get those WWs. I'll have to find on-line shop...just out of the curiosity: how many pads are in the big and small WW can?

Speaking on behalf of poor people and students(especially music students) everywhere, the STRING wipes are a LIFE SAVER!

When I don't have time to change strings, I just wipe them down and they're not quite good as new, but pretty damn close! Perfect for those back to back rehearsals, recitals, and other gigs!

I've just finished my 1st can (Small) - and love them so much I bougt a big one of the fretboard wipes,

I use them on maple as well as rosewood and have had no problems, these are a great thing and should dominate the market in a heartbear, there's nothing else out there that is as simple yet clever as this

my only complaint is the method the small can they often tear in the can and you have to open it up to get them out - not the end of the world but if they were like baby wipes they'd be even eaiser to use.

These are so simple yet so essential whether you play in bars to having your own tech! - Well done Brian, well done all.

I've gone back to using the board Wipes on my maple neck and board too, just not as often as every string change, like I originally did. Same with the rosewood, I don't use 'em every time I change strings, only when the rosewood appears too dry.

That said, I still don't believe it's a substitute for an annual Birchwood Casey treatment.

I'm also a student but honestly I rather wouldn't buy myself a dinner if I had to choose between new strings and dinner But luckily I don't have to buy new strings each week

i'd say it's OK. I've just checked the container and it doesn't have a warning saying not to use it on rosewood.

I'm getting the instrument wipes one for cleaning up the fingermarks. As far as the necks go, they are new so I'm putting down the double boiled linseed oil on them. That is the best for conditioning and sealing the rosewood fretboard.

Hi Jim,

Yes. Just wipe off the excess and play. Pure lemon oil also works on MM oiled finished necks, but I think the Wipes are just plain better.

I think it works the best on rosewood! I just don't believe in saturating a rosewood board with anything. But the Wipes do a great job on rosewood.

I use all three wonder wipes and I have to say that I'm hooked on them.

I find myself using the Instrument Polish and String Cleaner the most, and use the Fretboard Conditioner as I think it is needed.

The polish works great and has just the right amount of moisture so that it does not leave streaks. But it is fantastic at removing fingerprints.

The string cleaner works like a charm as well and is so easy to use. It sure beats the old days of dampening a cloth with alcohol and wiping down the strings. I know some here don't use it as they don't feel it makes a difference. I believe it does and just means that I'm not changing strings as frequently. I also hate picking up a guitar where the strings are grimy.

I use the fretboard conditioner for my rosewood/ebony fretboards (I don't have any maple) and they work great. Recently, I've been using it on the unfinished maple necks of most of collection and I think they do a pretty good job. Very easy to work with.

Just got the fretboard conditioner finally and it works GREAT! I applied it twice on both JPs (allowing 10 minutes in between applications from the same wipe). One of them soaked all of both applications up. One of them soaked MOST of the second application up. I think the one I had used lemon oil on a few months back wasn't as thirsty as the other one. I just wiped off any excess that appeared slightly wet (15 minutes after the second application) and wiped the strings down real well too. I haven't seen the fretboards look that nurtured EVER. Even when it was brand new it looked a little dry. I hit both of them with the instrument wipes afterwards to clean up any over-application of the conditioner and they both look great! The instrument wipes make the finish feel like a freshly waxed car. Good stuff...
