Brent, you're gonna love me. I would like you to submit this to eBay as proof and backing on your claim:

which shows that on 10/28, you purchased this EVH in question, complete with serial number in hand (have eBay call the "seller" on it and ask him for the serial #), and his signup date for the forum is also 10/28.

which shows that on Nov 10th you got it back from the guy who did the clear coat, and 10/11 you posted it to your AOL hometown page.

Submit the listing number AND the link to your legitimate auction, which would show it tied to you, your auction start date, end date, ending results, and so on.

You'd figure that dated material such as threads of these aspects should be enough to build a strong case. I think that it'd be hard for you to hack into the boards and muck with the dates, unless you're a carpenter by day, UBB hacker by night.

When things like this comes up on Ebay it usually takes 2 to 3 days for them to get rid of the fake auction. I hope the Thanksgiving weekend doesn't make it longer.

you have got to be kidding me!!!!!!! this guy is telling people that he will end the auction early for $1100.00 when the bidding is up to $14000.000!!!! the auction says he lives in texas....but he wants CASH ONLY sent to the UK!!!!!! this guy is a CROOK!!!!!! and it is hurting my LEGAL AUCTION!!!!! he is gonna take the $$$$ and run!!!!!!

It is sooo obvious that he is using images from my auction!!!!!! (the auction that i boughtr it from) if something is not dome about this crook....i will never use ebay again!!! an i will tell everybody i know how i was treated and the ebay allows cheats to roam the internet via ebay and ruin honest people like me!!!

i'm very dissapointed!!!!!!

i have 100% feedback for a reason!!!!! and people like this guy need to be shown a lesson!!!!!!

Spotting scams is the eBay communities job.
But proving it's a scam to eBay is very, very difficult (and sometimes impossible).

eBay wouldn't know an EBMM_EVH from a Les Paul.
It might take a court order to stop this scam...
