**** me sideways. So, I sold my amp cause it was bugging me and I go into Guitar Center to see what kind of power amps they have. I need a Guitar to play through, so I grab this Axis off the wall.

They've had this guitar for a year and a half and had not sold it. This is the Same place I bought my Petrucci which they had for almost a year wen I liberated it from them. I don't know why, but no one around here likes EBMM guitars *boggles at the concept*.

In anycase, I'm playing this Axis through a few different amps and play with the two (that's right, 2) power amps they have. As I'm playing each amp, my hand melts into the guitar's neck. Now, I've been going into that guitar center and playing this guitar ever since they've had it. But, this time, it grabbed me.... I was screwed, no other choice. It is now hanging on my wall next to my Petrucci. I was even baffled by the quality of service the sales people gave me! I guess it takes a guitar sitting on a wall for 2 year before they actually cut you a deal. The cleaned the fretboard, gave me a strap...not just one of the $5 ones, no, onf of the $35 ones. They even put new strings on it and gave it a good waxing. That's right, at Guitar Center. I was amazed.

Great...... now I don't have an amp.... DOH!

Sorry for rambling... Just wanted to share!! I LOVE IT!!

Norm's advice on buying an amp:
1)Figure out how much you want to spend
2)Double it
3)Buy an amp

If you settel on an amp then you will have to settle for the entire time you use that amp. That's every time you play.

Thanks for the advice. I know what I want at least.

Yeah, hopefully I'll snag it tomorrow, gotta get to the 'rents house to pick it up. Hoepfully you didn't create a monster and then have me be all: "Now, I don't want to play my other ones because this one is too cool." Teehee. :D Thanks again and much respect, you saved the day brother!

Jon,

I might have created that monster....If you like pretty low action, and a fast neck, your other guitars will be lonely

I sold the classic 50/50 I had in favor of the Dual rect.... boy was I a moron... I kept the pre-amp though... Peavey Tubefex. This thing is all I've ever wanted or needed... I was foolish to play around with my sound like I did... oh, well, got my Axis out of it and now I'm happy. :D

I'm looking at a VHT two/ninety/two :)

In addition to ordering my first Axis when I did, i also put together a new amp system that is totally the schiznet man!

I run a rack syatem and from my guitar signal I go directly into a VHT Valvulator, from there into a Line 6 POD XT PRO with new upgrade, then into a BBE 862i Sonic Maximizer into THE MOTHER OF ALL POWER AMPS..... a brand new Mesa Boogie Stereo Rectifier Two One Hundred and out to a pair of Genz Benz G Flex 2/12's!
Totally smokin' in every way bro and with all the tubes you don't and won't hear the digital aspect of the XT PRO at all! :)

Doc Roc,

Digging that upgrade? Looks sweet.....a large amount of models to get lost in in there, even tho' there's an added cost looks to be worth it.

Late!
