EBMM 2016 Stingray HH Stealth original push/pull-pot?

Hello!

I just received my EBMM 2016 Stingray HH Stealth, which I purchased used from a Japanese seller on eBay. Beautiful bass and plays great, but I noticed that the volume knob is a push/pull pot. Not sure what it does, but sounds fuller and louder when pulled. EQ works in both settings. A bit "thin" when not engaged.

I'm concerned that the preamp is not original. Can someone confirm whether these basses were shipped with a push-pull volume pot from the factory? The pots are not mounted on a circuit board, but there's a small board velcroed to the backplate if that helps.

With little info and no pix, I can suggest that the main electronics COULD POSSIBLY be original and the small extra board is an add-on bass boost controlled by the push-pull pot. (Or not ... ) Rotsa ruck widdit ! Enjoy !
