Check out me playing with my ball!!! I decided to lay some video tape as I was laying some audio tape. Man I love this guitar. It has THE MOST wonderful neck I have ever played. Thank you to Ernie Ball for the picks and strings too. I hope you enjoy the video. Do you think this take is a keeper?

Very Nice Work!!!!

Is that the same guitar from your avatar? If so, why did you take off the pickguard?

Thanks Foggy. It is the same guitar. I have the pickguard off for now. It doesn't do anything and makes it difficult to adjust pickup height. The Axis pickguards were cosmetic only. They did not hold knobs or pickups.

Very nice!

Just curious -- what sort of camera/mike set-up did you use to take that?

I used a Sony Handycam. The audio was captured by the handycam's internal mic. It would be nice if the Handycam had a line in. Then I could send a line level signal in from the board. The playback is happening through the monitors seen in the background. I also noticed that when I compressed the video to post it the audio and video got a little out of sync.
I'll post some pics of the Axis Sport pickguardless soon. Thanks for the feedback guys.

QUOTE=Colin;317312]I like it without the guard, can you post pics?[/QUOTE]

I filled the screw holes that held the pickguard on. A totally reversible modification. I could just put the screws back in. This guitar reminds me of Andy Timmons guitar. Here are some pics...

now that is cool!!! I'm definitely keen on a sport with SSS, what a great combo that is!

My dream Axis is HSH. I played a Steinberger for years and got spoiled on using the middle pickup in combination with the humbuckers. If you look closer at my Axis Sport you will see hot rails.

In that case you need a Silhouette HSH just what you need :) !

There's a truly hideous Sport on Ebay right now, that someone has ruined. If you offered him what it's worth (a lot less than he's got it up for) you could get that configuration done.

At the moment, it's a HSS, so it should be a straightforward job..

I saw that too, and he does want an awful lot for it!
